A view looking west from entrance of Franklin Pierce Bay towards Cape Harrison.

A view looking west from entrance of Franklin Pierce Bay towards Cape Harrison. The angle of the image, with Cape Harrison on the left and an unnamed bluff in the centre, suggests that the photograph was taken when 'Alert' (1856) and 'Discovery' (1873) were off the west shore of Franklin Pierce Bay between 8 and 9 August 1875.
