A view along the east coast of Ellesmere Island off Cape Collinson, looking south towards Cape McClintock in the middle distance, and Capes Fraser and John Barrow in the far distance. Note the hawser and grapple attached to the ice floe. A depot of provisions was left at Cape Collinson on 20 August 1875 for any returning expedition or an expedition by 'Discovery' (1873).
