The shipkeepers of 'Discovery' (1873) sitting on a dog sledge with the remaining dogs. The men were Fulford, Ninnius, Hart, Hodson, Cartinel, Sarah, Eddy, Phillips, and Mitchell, and three dogs Bess, Parr, and Granny. The photograph was taken off the port side of the ship. Note the discarded face protector on the snow bank.
