Mahogany chest

Mahogany chest lined with baize. Drop down front. Silver plaque on the top engraved 'Cassini's Map of France taken from the Field of Waterloo by Col. Henry Percy Aide-de-camp to Wellington.' This plaque was designed and affixed in 1936, following correspondence between Frank Maggs and James Caird (correspondence is now in the British Library, Maggs Archive, Box 1216).
