Two sheets. Hand col. engr. Medium: Segmented and backed. Scale: 1:230 000 (bar). Additional Places: Caribbean. The title cartouche has symbols of power and wealth, art and science. The scale cartouche depicts monumental steps, Dedication to George, Earl of Halifax. Craskell is stated as 'Engineer', Simpson as 'Surveyor'. The map includes symbols for the places where enslaved people lived on the island, described in the key using the offensive term "Negro towns".
