[Maldonado]

Single sheet. Col. ms. Scale: [ca. 1:46 000]. Additional Places: Uruguay. Contents Note: The plan gives infomation about Maldonado's very weak defences. In 1806 Grenville became an enthusiastic supporter of plans to attack Spanish interests in South America. This manuscript, drawn by a Frenchman, was probably part of his intelligence gathering. The British attacked Maldonado in October 1806 and destroyed it.
